POOR BROADBAND!

POOR BROADBAND!

Do you live in the:

Wadeford, Chardleigh Green, Clayhanger, Cuttifords Door, Chilworthy, Pudleigh and Nimmer areas?

Are you fed-up with the poor Broadband speeds, then read below it might be helpful to you?

Isle Valley Community Fibre Broadband Project

This project aims to bring reliable, Gigabit (1000Mbps) capable broadband into every home in Wadeford, Chardleigh Green, Clayhanger, Cuttifords Door, Chilworthy, Pudleigh and Nimmer.  (That’s about 220 in total).

Openreach have committed to delivering this project for a cost of £165,206 – this is the amount they will claim from the Government’s Department for Media, Culture and Sport (DCMS).  However, in order for the project to go ahead they need residents to pledge vouchers totalling at least £214,767.80.  Openreach can only claim the lower amount, but this extra 30% will allow for people who pledge a voucher but then don’t take up a service (e.g., because they have moved house, etc.).  We need 50-60% of residents to pledge their voucher.  So far, we have only just over half of the commitment we need.

If you live in one of the hamlets named above, you should have had a leaflet, but in case you have not, please see our website:  www.islevalleyfibre.uk

If you have lost your leaflet but want to pledge, just go here: https://www.openreach.com/connectmycommunity

If you don’t live in one of these hamlets but fancy setting up your own project for your local area, please see: https://www.openreach.com/fibre-broadband/community-fibre-partnerships
