History Group

The Group was formed in 1995 and usually meets on the 2nd Monday of March, June, September and December, at 7.30pm in Combe Village Hall, when they have some interesting speakers on various subjects, but connected with local history when possible. Trips to historical places of interest take place during the summer month. Over the past years the Group has visited Dorchester, Sherborne, Tiverton Castle, Cothelstone Manor and the new Taunton Museum.

Annual membership (£2) is due at the AGM in March. Benefits include concessions for the quarterly meetings and priority booking for visits, etc., where numbers are restricted. Everyone is very welcome at our meetings.

The revised version of our Parish History book is available from Combe Village Stores at a cost of £5.
