Welcome to Combe St Nicholas

Welcome to Combe St Nicholas

.Welcome to beautiful Combe St Nicholas

The Parish of Combe St Nicholas lies about 2 miles from Chard and 10 miles from the Somerset County Town of Taunton. The Parish extends to Cuttifords Door to the South, with Eleighwater to the east, Ham to the north and Beetham to the west. It is set in lovely countryside, situated on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have a thriving population of around 1380 adults living in about 660 dwellings.

The village of Combe St. Nicholas is situated in the centre of the Parish and is fortunate in having a village shop and post office, a hairdresser and a pub. The school is next to the fine 13th century Parish Church. The other main centre of population is the hamlet of Wadeford between Combe village and Chard, and it also has a pub. The whole area has many places to stay, together with good food available at the pubs and local restaurants.
