No objections to the actual conversion, but big concern about the loss of privacy to the adjoining neighbours. The height of the wall, needs to be higher or screening fitted. A condition should be added that the accommodation only used as ancillary to the dwelling and cannot be used for business purposes.

These have now been completed, but on the final day new plans were shown regarding the highway junctions/4-way traffic light system for Crimchard road. The Inspector will be visiting the area this week to check roads/footpaths/times of journeys, etc. A decision should be made on the 29th November

The fungi, Meripilus Giganteus, has been found on the larger Beech Tree on The Lawns. S.S.D.C. Tree Officer, Phil Poulton, recommends that as it is now dying, branches can fall without notice, and being is in a public place, particularly the children’s play area, the tree should be felled. 3 quotes are being obtained. This magnificent tree is a big feature of the village landscape. The news was met with great dismay.
